What To Expect At Your First Visit In Abbotsford, BC
Welcome to our website! If you’re considering joining our practice, please know that we’re here for you, and will do everything we can to ensure that you feel comfortable and confident in your decision to make us your oral healthcare provider.
Whether you’re looking for preventive, restorative, or cosmetic treatments, you’re encouraged to spend a few minutes exploring our site. We’ve compiled a plethora of information that will help you gain an understanding of who we are and what we do, but should you have any questions, we invite you to call us without obligation or pressure. Your well-being is our main priority!
Front Desk
Before we begin any examinations or treatments, we’ll need to ask questions related to your medical history. Because it will help us determine which care options are right for you, this information is vital and will ensure that we are able to deliver the best possible care for you. Should your medical history be complex, our team will offer treatment options to accommodate your needs. Looking to speed this process along? Please download, fill in, and submit our Intake Form before your first visit.
Treatment
Coordination
When you have questions about treatments or procedures we recommend, or would like a better understanding of your insurance policy (or complete documents), we’re here to help. From general queries about care options, to passing long predetermination to your insurance company, we will do our best to ensure that you get answers to your questions. And if you have additional areas or topics you’d like clarification on, feel free to give us a call.
Hygiene
Because it’s our opportunity to get to you know while examining the current state of your mouth, your first hygiene appointment will be more involved than most. The extra time we take will allow us to create a baseline that we’ll use to watch changes over time, which helps us determine your dental health needs now and in the future. Rest assured that your hygienist, our patient-education pro, will be happy to walk you through the many ways you can take great care of your teeth at home.
Practice Tour
Here’s the perfect opportunity to get to know our friendly team while touring our comfortable, convenient office. We’ll walk you through our spacious reception area, front desk, private consultation room, treatment rooms, restroom locations, and more. Feeling nervous about a dental visit? We encourage you to seriously consider scheduling a quick tour. It will do so much to help minimize and eradicate any anxiety!
Checkup
Here’s where you’ll meet our doctor and have the opportunity to chat about your oral health needs and goals. We’ll share our examination findings with you and work together to determine which personalized approach works best for you. From regular care schedules to a specialized treatment plan that will address any decay or gum disease issues, this is also the time to let us know if you have smile changes you’d like to make. We’ll work with you to meet these goals.
Diagnostics
Along with digital x-rays, we use a small pen-sized camera at Lifetime Dental at Sevenoaks, otherwise known as an intraoral camera. It not only allows you to see what we see when examining your mouth, it’s also used to check for problems while providing us with a baseline for your future care. As with all of our diagnostic equipment, it emits the lowest amount of radiation – approximately 90% less than that of old film x-rays.
Our Office, Your Dental Home
Regardless of whether your need is for a routine root canal or to alleviate emergency pain, it’s vital that you feel comfortable in our office. This is why we welcome you to call us with any questions, concerns, or anxieties you may have. Caring for your smile would be our honour, and we look forward to the opportunity to help you feel great about visiting our friendly team!
