Robert's Memorial

For Robert, Always In Our Hearts

On Tuesday, August 28, 2018, we lost a beloved member of our family far too soon.

Robert Nawrot was a bright light to so many. The impact he made on all our lives won’t be forgotten. We smile every time we think about the good times we had, flip through happy photos, and share stories with those who were lucky enough to know such an incredible young man.

Robert loved deeply, had a soft and compassionate heart, and a smile that lit up the room. Everyone who knew him loved him, and he loved and cared for all of them. Robert was an incredibly talented hockey goalie. Whether he was a player, a referee, or a student mastering his next skill, Robert loved to be on the ice. He always gave it his all – and it showed. Through hockey, he positively impacted the lives of so many people far beyond our city. Away from the rink, Robert was passionate about training his dog Dante in protection, tracking, and detection. He was caring, dependable, fun, and quirky at times.

We will always remember you, Robert.

With love, the Nawrot family

A Special Memory …

We would like to thank the Abbotsford Pilots for laying out Robert’s jersey at centre ice in his memory and placing his surname and number (#30) on their warmup jerseys. We’d also like to express our sincere appreciation to all the officials who wore patches with Robert’s initials and a sticker on their helmets.
